Saab Underwater Systems AB (SUS) and Defence Consulting Europe AB (DCE) have signed a teaming agreement with the objective to develop a concept for delivery of Double Eagle SAROV hybrid AUV/ROV using the SEAL Carrier as a delivery vehicle.

The Double Eagle SAROV, hybrid AUV/ROV, is a modular underwater vehicle system for minehunting, maritime security and other underwater surveillance operations developed by SUS.

The SEAL Carrier is a unique multipurpose vehicle that can be driven on the surface in high speed, covertly in semi-submerged mode or in underwater mode developed by DCE.

The concept with the basic conceptual ideas will be presented during MAST 2009 at Kista Exhibition in Stockholm in October this year.

Saab Underwater Systems AB (SUS) och Defence Consulting Europe AB (DCE) har tecknat ett samarbetsavtal med syfte att ta fram ett koncept där SAROV-systemet transporteras till operationsområdet med hjälp av farkosten The SEAL Carrier.

Double Eagle SAROV, en hybrid autonom och fjärrstyrd undervattensfarkost, används för minjakt, maritim säkerhet och andra undervattensuppdrag är utvecklad av SUS.

The SEAL Carrier är en unik farkost med förmåga att köra i hög fart på ytan samt med låg upptäcktsrisk eller osynligt i ett mellan- eller undervattensläge. Farkosten är utvecklad av DCE under det svenska namnet DGB.

Konceptet och dess grundläggande utformning kommer att presenteras under MAST 2009 på Kistamässan i oktober 2009.
